OUR SERVICES

Arborist & Tree Services

Tree Felling and Removal

Tree Felling is to cut a standing tree and drop it in the place you want it. The cutting down of trees in urban environments requires the skills of a fully trained climber who removes the tree piece by piece.

We can ensure you are compliant with the law as we are fully qualified with all up to date certificates.

Hedge Trimming

We can trim and reduce all sizes and heights of hedges back to a more manageable size to maintain. Hedges along property boundaries should be maintained more often than those which do not obstruct the public or neighbours etc. It is important to remember that we shouldn’t remove hedges with occupied birds nests.

Each job can be very different so we ensure we are fully equipped with both manual hand cutting tools to battery and electric chainsaws and hedge trimmers.

Crown Lifting & Thinning

The removal of lower branches to prevent obstruction and let in more light. We remove or cut back any low hanging and sagging branches which can obstruct vehicles and be safe for people to walk under.

There is a limit to how much crown lifting we can do, the British standard for tree works BS3998:2010 states crown lifting should be restricted to no more than 50% of the crown height.

The thinning out of select branches within the crown of a tree to admit more light and reduce the weight being blown around in bad weather. This keeps trees healthy, safe and gives them the opportunity to bloom more flowers and fruits for the following seasons. Done correctly, the tree won’t lose its size or overall shape.

TPO And Conservation Area Applications

We can advise on Tree Preservation Orders (TPO’s) and will complete all paperwork required when dealing with the local council, local planning authorities and protected trees, free of charge.

Deadwool Removal

The removal of dead, diseased and rubbing branches from the tree. Deadwood often occurs with lack of tree maintenance. Often heavy shading can cause branches in the middle of the crown to become rotten. This doesn’t mean the tree is dead, it just needs deadwooding and a little care and attention.

Ivy Removal

Ivy can be a real pain. It can cause very expensive damage to walls and external rendering. With how it can climb up a building, if it thickens over time it harber bugs and also rodents have a natural ladder to climb. We offer a service for Ivy removal from both buildings and trees.

Pollarding

Hard pruning involves the removal of all or nearly all of a tree’s branches. Pollarding is only possible on some species and can look quite drastic until new growth starts to appear. The tree will then regenerate to a more reduced size than before.

Pollarding ensures a tree will grow shorter than it would naturally without annual pollarding. This can be beneficial if space for trees is limited and you require them to limit how tall and wide they can grow.

Site Clearance

General removal of overgrown allotments, hedges and shrubbery. We offer our services to both domestic and commercial sites however small or large.
